Epcot FastPass Recommendations
Like Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, Epcot uses a Tier System for their FastPass selections in an attempt to keep things fair when booking FastPasses.
And similar to Hollywood Studios, almost anything worth a FastPass is in Tier 1.
Remember, you are able to select one attraction from Tier 1, and your other two attractions must be from Tier 2.
Tier 1 Attractions
- Epcot Forever (any height)
- Frozen Ever After (any height)
- Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot (any height)
- Soarin’ (40″)
- Test Track (40″)
This is a tough one, and totally dependent on your family’s preferences. There’s no question that Frozen, Test Track, and Soarin’ are the most popular attractions here.
I would recommend you pick either Frozen or Test Track. Whichever one you do not get, Rope Drop that attraction.
For instance, if you get a Frozen FastPass, then make sure you Rope Drop Test Track, or vice versa.
Once you scan into your 3rd FastPass for the day, try to grab a Soarin’ FastPass.
Once you scan into Soarin’, try to grab a Meet the Disney Pals FastPass if you’re interested.
I was about to tell you to try to grab an Epcot Forever FastPass after that, but honestly, I’d try to grab other attractions before getting a FastPass for a Fireworks Show. You can always find a place to watch fireworks if you stake out your spot early enough.
Tier 2 Attractions
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival (any height)
- Journey Into Imagination With Figment (any height)
- Living with the Land (any height)
- Mission: Space (40″)
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends (any height)
- Spaceship Earth (any height)
- Turtle Talk With Crush (any height)
For your two Tier 2 attractions, I’d personally go with Spaceship Earth since everyone wants to ride in the famous Epcot Ball.
Then I’d go with whichever one appeals to you the most. None of these should be hard to score a FastPass the day of.
My personal thoughts on Mission: Space that don’t belong anywhere else on the blog:
Mission: Space is such a cool ride, whether you do the more intense orange version using g-force or a very similar, still amazing green version not using g-force.
**This ride is definitely not for everyone! If you struggle with motion sickness or claustrophobia, know that you can back out at any time before the ride actually starts.
Cheating the system
You may already be thinking, “Can I just book one Tier 1 FastPass and not book any Tier 2 FastPasses? Once I use my Tier 1, I’ll try to book another Tier 1. Then I’ll be ahead of the game because everyone else will be going to their two Tier 2 attractions.”
This will NOT work. You will not be able to book another Tier 1 FastPass. You will only be able to book Tier 2 FastPasses until you have scanned into two Tier 2 attractions using FastPasses.
If you really have no desire to for any of the Tier 2 attractions, just scan your band at the attraction during the given FastPass time and don’t go inside.
