Magic Kingdom FastPass Recommendations

Magic Kingdom FastPass Recommendations

Magic Kingdom is currently the only park at Disney World that does not use a tier system for their FastPass selections.

This means “all rides are equal” at Magic Kingdom… But in reality, they aren’t.

Below are my personal FastPass recommendations! You may find higher value in other rides, and therefore you may decide to select FastPasses that I wouldn’t normally recommend, and that’s okay! Do what is best for you and your family 🙂

Also, remember that no matter how you slice it, you won’t be able to do everything in one day, especially at Magic Kingdom. You will definitely need to prioritize.

Highly Recommend a FastPass for these rides

If you want to ride these rides, you should definitely try to get a FastPass for them in advance. Otherwise, you are probably looking at really long wait times.

Although anything is possible, don’t count on being able to get a FastPass for these on the day after you use your 3 FastPasses you selected in advance.

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (40″)
  • Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater
  • Peter Pan’s Flight (any height)
  • Seven Dwarf Mine Train (38″)
  • Space Mountain (44″)
  • Splash Mountain (40″)

Try to grab a FastPass for these rides after you use your first 3

These are rides that are more likely to have availability after you use your first 3 FastPasses for the day (given that your selected FastPasses were back-to-back and in the morning).

  • Any Character Meet and Greet, except Mickey
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (any height)
  • Enchanted Tales with Belle (any height)
  • Haunted Mansion (any height)
  • Jungle Cruise (any height)
  • The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh (any height)
  • Pirates of the Caribbean (any height)
  • Tomorrowland Speedway (32″)

I wouldn’t recommend using a FastPass for these rides

These are rides that I probably never get a FastPass for, unless it’s like 7:00 at night, and there happens to be one available and we are close to the attraction anyway 😉

  • The Barnstormer (35″)
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant (any height)
  • Mad Tea Party (any height)
  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin (any height)
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic (any height)
  • Monster’s, Inc. Laugh Floor (any height)
  • Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid (any height)
  • “it’s a small world” (any height)

If you are doing one-on-one planning with me, let’s have a conversation about your specific family and which attractions would be great for you!

Happy planning!
