Get the whole family in every picture at Disney World
They days of trying to get the entire family AND Cinderella’s Castle into one selfie are over.
Disney World offers a photo service called Memory Maker, and it is worth every penny.
Memory Maker gives your entire party unlimited digital downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos.
Photos and videos could be from and of the following:
- Attractions
- Character meals
- Character meet and greets
- PhotoPass photographers set up around the parks.
Memory Maker makes it so easy to get the whole family in every picture. You will not be dependent on selfies or asking random people to take our picture.
The PhotoPass photographers are not necessarily professional photographers. However, they typically snap away giving you lots of pictures from which you can choose your favorite.
At character greets, I let them snap all the pictures. Meanwhile I get video of my kids meeting their favorite characters or I hope in the picture with them.
How does it work?
The photographers snap away, and either before or after taking the pictures, they will scan your Magic Band. Then your photos magically appear in your My Disney Experience account, usually within the hour!
You can download your pictures one at a time from the app on your phone. However, I’d recommend you wait until you get to your computer. From there you can download all the pictures at once from your My Disney Experience account online!
Price
$169 if you purchase 4 days or more in advance of your check-in date.
$199 if you purchase within 3 days of your trip or during your trip.
Keep in mind that once you purchase Memory Maker, the free downloads do not include pictures taken within 3 days of purchase! Therefore, if you purchase on day 3 of your trip, Disney will not remove the watermarks from the pictures taken the last 3 days. Womp womp ☹️
If you are missing your or a family member’s pictures, try this…
Anyone on your reservation can scan his or her MagicBand with the PhotoPass photographer, and the pictures will show up in everyone’s My Disney Experience (MDE) account.
In fact, if you are linked to other people on other reservations within your MDE account, you will be able to see their pictures as well. Not linked yet? HERE’s how.
If other family member’s pictures aren’t showing up, it could be as easy as changing a filter in your photo settings.
Open up your MDE app and scroll down and click “My Photos.”
Then click “Filter” in the top left corner of the page.
Most often, your default setting is to see photos that are “Only Mine.” Just tap “View All” instead to see everyone’s photos to whom you are linked!
If you are still having issues seeing pictures, go to the PhotoPass center (usually located by or within Guest Relations within the park) and speak to a cast member there. They will be able to help you! 🙂
