The Best Quick-Service Restaurants at Animal Kingdom

The Best Quick-Service Restaurants at Animal Kingdom

Y’all Animal Kingdom has some of the best and most diverse quick-service restaurants and is one of the many reasons it is my absolute favorite park.

I get the privilege of talking directly with clients about what restaurants I recommend at each park and why. And now I get to share that with you!

In this post, we are specifically looking at the best Quick-Service Restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Note that at Quick-Service locations, the lunch and dinner menus are typically identical.

Quick-Service Recommendations

Whether you are paying out of pocket, on the Quick-Service Dining Plan or on the standard Disney Dining Plan, you will probably find yourself eating at quick-service restaurants in the park.

And you are in luck because Animal Kingdom has some amazing options.

Flame Tree Barbecue

If you are looking for some hefty meat and carbs, this is going to be your number one quick-service choice in Animal Kingdom.

Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork

For a comprehensive look into Flame Tree Barbecue, I’m going to recommend you check out AJ’s full review over on the Disney Food Blog.

What do I eat here?

  • Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork for one quick service credit.
  • Or French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese for one snack credit.

That’s one of the best snack credit values! But if you are wanting to make your quick-service credit go a little further, then you have other options. I’m just a huge mac and cheese fan, so I can’t resist this one.

Satu’li Canteen

If you are wanting fresh ingredients and some healthier options, head to Satu’li Canteen in Pandora.

Satu’li has this amazing “Build Your Own Bowl” option where you pick your protein, base and sauce. The current options are listed below.

  • Protein
    • Slow Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef
    • Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken
    • Chili-Garlic Shrimp
    • Chili-Spiced Crispy Tofu
  • Base
    • Noodles
    • Red and Sweet Potato Hash
    • Rice and Beans
    • Hearty Salad
  • Sauce
    • Charred Green Onion Vinaigrette
    • Black Bean Vinaigrette
    • Creamy Herb Sauce

What do I eat here?

I build my own bowl with chicken, hearty salad, and the black bean vinaigrette. Although I really don’t think you could go wrong with any of these options.

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafés

I’m including Yak & Yeti in this recommendation really to honor my husband because it’s his favorite restaurant at Animal Kingdom. And if it’s his favorite, maybe it could be your favorite too.

Be careful as you choose this restaurant because the table-service “Yak & Yeti” is right next door. The quick-service option has the outdoor queue and you pick up at the counter outside.

Honestly, the food here is really good and has some rich flavors! Check out the menu for yourself.

What do I eat here?

I alway get the honey chicken because it’s a safe choice for me. I know I’ll like it. However, I should probably branch out and try something different since I could get honey chicken at my local Chinese take out…

**Pro Dining Plan Tip – if you are wanting to drink water with your meal, don’t forget to ask about subbing in a side or dessert for your water. If you have little ones, this could make that one quick-service credit big enough to feed 2 or even 3 kids!

**Pro Dining Tip – when you can, skip the line and use the Mobile Order option in the My Disney Experience app!
