Difference between Value, Moderate and Deluxe Disney Resorts

Difference between Value, Moderate and Deluxe Disney Resorts

All of Disney World’s Resorts fall into 4 categories – Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, Deluxe Resorts, and Deluxe Villas. Well… also there are the Cabins and Campgrounds at Ft Wilderness.

However, for the sake of simplifying everything, we are not going to compare Deluxe Villas, Cabins and Campgrounds in this post. They are the odd man out. But you can scroll to the bottom of this post to get information about each, and if you have more questions, just ask!

Before we look at the chart comparing Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resorts, lets look at what all of the resorts have in common.

DELUXE VILLAS AND CAMPGROUNDS AT FORT WILDERNESS

Deluxe Villas are what Disney World offers to their Disney Vacation Club members, as well as any other guest that is not a DVC member. Villas are typically an extension of a Deluxe Resort. However, Old Key West Resort and Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are stand-alone resorts.

Like the other Deluxe Resorts, the Boardwalk Resort has a sections designated just to the Boardwalk Villas.

Typically, villas offer guests a studio, a one-bedroom villa, a 2-bedroom villa, or a grand villa. Additionally, at Saratoga Springs, you can stay at a 3-bedroom treehouse!

The studios typically have a queen-size bed and a fold-out couch, although some studios do offer 2 queens. The studios also offer a “mini kitchen” with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven.

The 1- and 2-bedroom villas, along with the grand villas offer the separate bedrooms, a living room and a full kitchen with full-size appliances.

CAMPGROUNDS

If you want to stay in a cabin, a tent or in your RV, Disney offers Fort Wilderness Campground. Here you receive all of the same benefits as other guests staying at Disney Resorts, like Early Park Entry, booking all of your dining reservations once 60 days before check-in, and complimentary transportation to and from the parks, etc.

In the end, I hope this helps you decide which Resorts will be best for your trip!
