Packing List for Cold Days at Disney
I currently use a ski jacket from Costco with an inside lining. But when that one doesn’t work anymore, this is the one I’ll be grabbing. I love the slim look, and it’s still a 2 in 1 jacket. The outside lining can act as a rain jacket, and the inside lining functions as a great lightweight jacket.
And the more pockets means the less likely I’ll need a back pack!
I have this exact thermal top, plus another in black. I love them because they are thin, making it a great under layer for a t-shirt. It’s not that thick waffle-y material that some thermals are in.
For thermal leggings, I just use my LuLaRoe. It works great! But if you don’t have anything already, I’m telling you, this 32 Degrees brand has not disappointed us yet!
A lot of my Disney trips are in the winter, and this hat travels with me every single time. It’s my all time favorite winter hat!
The fingerless mittens I have are probably 15 years old and from GAP. However, after searching Amazon, these are my favorite since they are lightweight and have the button to keep the mitten part secure. Fingerless is really convenient when you want want to use your phone or when you want to get a good grip on your Starbucks coffee in the morning.
These hand warmers are great to have when you are sitting around at night waiting for the fireworks.
You may be wondering why drawstring bags made it to this list. Here’s why. I don’t like to carry a back pack if I don’t have to. The main reason is because I can get through security so much more quickly without a bag. However, if the temperature warms up, I’ll find myself with no where to put my mittens, beanie, or even jacket. That’s why I keep one of these little bags folded up in a jacket pocket until I need it!
Personally, I have a few super cheap ones that were freebies from difference places. They usually fall apart quickly. The Nike one has great reviews and looks pretty quality.
I threw in the Mickey ones just to show you that you can find some Disney-themed ones on Amazon. I don’t know that I can endorse the quality of these.
If you want to go super-cheap (and it may not even last your whole trip), I’ve seen some at the Dollar Tree.

Below are some of my favorite purchases I’ve made for Disney. If you can be one of the few people to stick out the rain in the parks, you will not regret it! Enjoy the lower crowds, shorter lines, and more park all to yourself.
Thankfully the outer shell of that ski jacket above functions as a rain jacket.
If it’s cold, you’ll probably be wearing pants. And I can’t think of many more uncomfortable things than walking around in soaking wet clothes. That’s why Kyle and I finally went ahead and purchased these rain pants so we could be comfortable and fully prepared for the rain.
These pants are waterproof, not just water-resistant. This is good news for you if you’re in a torrential downpour. Your pants underneath should stay completely dry. 🙌🏼
Normally I wear my beloved Chacos for rainy weather, but if it’s cold out, I definitely want warm, dry feet. The short rain boots were a no brainer for me since I didn’t want to walk miles and miles in clunky rain boots.
Kyle went with Sperrys. If you search for men’s rain shoes, there’s nothing that really screams “fashionable.” We could have gotten him much cheaper shoes that he would look like a duck in and only wear at Disney, but we went with the more versatile option of shoes he could wear even at home in the winter.
You probably already have a ball cap lying around at home. I threw this particular one in here because it’s the closest thing to my absolute favorite Mama Bear ball cap I got at Hobby Lobby.
A ball cap is my newest non-negotiable for rain. Even if your rain jacket has a hood, the rain will still drench your face. Ball caps keep the rain at least 4 inches from your face. Thanks to my cousin Elizabeth who gave me this awesome tip!
